Inspiration
While flipping through Pinterest beauty photography posts, one may eventually see examples of pigments being used in beauty photography. The pigment powders, often a product of India, are the primary color component of eye shadow, blush, lip-paints, etc.. Someone came up with the great idea to use the powder, without liquifying it, in beauty photos.The result can add a texture element or with residual moisture, resemble watercolor paintings.
I photographed a model from China, Angel Zhang. With the artistic talent of Akemi Yagi doing makeup, we came up with our rendition of this new “Pigment Beauty Concept.”
